KILLING FOR SPORT

COALITION OF POSITIVE ENERGY

As an animal activist – I ensure that I do everything I can to stop the inhumane treatment of any animal.  I don’t buy leather or any other clothing materials that are made from the suffering of animals.  I am vegan and I don’t support any behaviour that provides gratification by exploiting animals.  Here is a list of activities that I find heinous and we should do anything we can to ensure that they cease:

  • Running of the bulls (Spain)
  • Stomping on animals
  • Rodeos
  • Horse Racing
  • Dog Racing/Dog Fighting
  • Cock Fighting
  • Circus
  • Any type of animal confinement (zoo’s, Sea World, Marineland, etc.)
  • Fishing
  • Bull Fighting
  • Seal Cull (Canada)
  • HUNTING

I am perplexed how anyone can justify killing animals for the thrill of killing them.  Many animals are on the brink of extinction and yet, hunters proudly pose beside the animal they gunned down without any remorse.  It says a lot about…

AMAZING and HEARTFELT VIDEO – COWS SET FREE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Must see this.

The video is in German – but no words can express the joy these cows feel once released from their confinement.  Science has finally recognized that animals have consciousness but that is something that animals lovers already have known.  Animals have emotions – here is more proof:

I love that the people are so happy for this moment that they get choked up…..ASTOUNDING and WONDERFUL people!!!

Together we can make the world a more positive one!

COWS SET FREE FOR THE FIRST TIME

“happy Cows” Kuhrettung Rhein Berg english subtitles / vacas liberadas

Published on Jul 22, 2013

After the winter season this cow-herd (included some young cows, which are not jet started to give milk, and never need to, and one bull) are coming out to the open field again. At this moment, is is a few months ago, that there are saved from saughterhouse by the neigbourhood. Usually, cows are happy when they get out in spring, but these cows are happier than the avarage dairy cow (they have no more stress in their live, from giving milk until their body is leached out, or from losing their childern) and you can feel their special happiness in the video.
The Song from about 1:30 is from Marco Brignoli “Crazy Horse” and we love it that song very much and we found it in Garage band from Aplle music software. And we are thanks to youtube user “Eyes of Italy” who found the name of song and author.

Dog cries at the grave of his human :(

Dog cries at the grave of his human 😦

Dog cries at the grave of his human

If you’ve ever suffered the loss of a pet, you’ll know how deeply their absence can be felt. But have you ever thought about how your they would feel about you? Humans aren’t the only species who grieve for lost loved ones. Scientists are now finding new evidence that animals honour, mourn, and even hold wakes for their dead.

This month TIME Magazine is examining animal grief in detail, with compelling evidence and stories from around the world…

“There are accounts of chimp mothers that refuse to surrender a baby that has died, holding the body for days or weeks after it has gone cold and begun to decompose. There are elephants that stay by the body of a fallen herdmate long after a death —examining, touching, attending — or stop to caress and examine elephant bones they find. There are dogs and cats that languish and refuse food when a playmate dies, the cats expressing their grief with a terrible keening cry. Bonobos rage, rage against the dying of the light, sometimes throwing rocks at a dead troopmate and pounding its chest in frustration before pounding their own. Apparent sorrow following a death has been observed on the farm — among goats, pigs, ducks — and in the oceans as dolphin mothers, like primate mothers, push the bodies of their dead young in front of them.” Read the full story at http://content.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,2140197,00.html

Animals may not speak our language — but their understanding of the world, of love, and loss, may be greater than we will ever know. Yet another reason, to be their voice www.AnimalsAustralia.org/cruelty-free

This video from the US has gone viral recently, prompting many people to consider for the first time whether grief is an emotion exclusive to the human domain. Without more detail we can’t say for sure what this animal is experiencing, but what appears certain is that animals can and do experience profound grief, perhaps differently, but in ways we can still clearly recognise.
